What sparks the most joy for you as the therapist?
Everyone comes from different backgrounds and life experiences, yet everyone deserves support in finding the version of themselves that feels most true and whole. It’s a deep honor to witness clients embrace the idea that they are not the problem—and to watch them begin to reclaim authorship of their own story.
What are your specialities and areas of interest?
My work focuses on supporting individuals and couples navigating life transitions, with a strong emphasis on the perinatal period, grief and loss, and recovery from substance use. I am particularly passionate about working with those who have been marginalized or misunderstood, and I bring an intentional focus to how identity, systems, and power impact mental health.
What is your therapy style?
I believe therapy should be collaborative! My style is warm and grounded in respect for each person’s unique story. Healing begins in a space where we feel seen, heard, and accepted — just as we are. I strive to foster that space through presence, curiosity, and genuine connection. Therapy is not only a place for reflection, but also for reclaiming voice, power, and meaning. I hold awareness of how systems like culture, identity, and family shape our experiences, and I aim to support clients in navigating those influences with clarity and self-trust. Come as you are — and let’s explore your story together.
What is your favorite quote?
“I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it.” - Maya Angelou.
I love this quote because it honors the reality that life’s challenges do shape us—but they do not define us. We hold the power to make meaning of our experiences and to decide how they become part of our story. It speaks to the heart of my therapeutic work: helping people reclaim their identity in a way that reflects their strength, not just their pain.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
Outside of my counseling role, I enjoy spending time with my partner, our little one, and our pup while exploring the San Diego community. I am committed to living a harmonious life-style and practice this through scuba diving, watching movies, and finding new ways to engage in self-care.
