What are your specialities and areas of interest?

For the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals and groups, including adults, teens, children, and veterans, guiding them through various life stages. Life can be overwhelming and stressful, leaving us unsure of how to proceed. We all need a supportive presence to process our emotions and navigate suffering.

TEENS: I am passionate about supporting teenagers as they navigate the challenges of adolescence and prepare for adulthood. My dedication lies in providing comprehensive guidance and unwavering support to teenagers as they navigate the intricate and often challenging journey from adolescence into the responsibilities and independence of adulthood. I strive to equip them with a diverse and robust set of skills, knowledge, and emotional resilience, enabling them to confidently confront the myriad of decisions and opportunities that lie ahead. This includes cultivating critical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of self-awareness. Ultimately, my aim is to empower them to thoughtfully envision and actively construct a promising, fulfilling, and sustainable future for themselves, built on a foundation of sound choices and personal growth.

MILITARY: Having served in the military, I resonate with the distinct challenges inherent in the transition from military to civilian life. My objective is to facilitate this adjustment, assisting clients in processing their experiences—both positive and negative—to cultivate growth and self-assurance as they integrate into the civilian sphere. I am dedicated to aiding clients in identifying the foundational sources of their distress and accompanying them on their path to recovery. Collaboratively, we can surmount difficulties and reawaken happiness.

What sparks the most joy for you as the therapist?

As a therapist, my greatest joy comes from guiding individuals through their most challenging situations and witnessing the truly life-altering growth and freedom that results. There is nothing more incredible than seeing someone embrace vulnerability and achieve a place of healing.

I have been profoundly fueled by a long-standing passion for therapy, a journey that began with an innate curiosity about the human spirit and its capacity for resilience. Throughout my career, I've found immense joy and fulfillment in witnessing the transformative changes therapy brings to people's lives. There is a deep satisfaction in seeing individuals navigate challenges, discover inner strengths, and ultimately achieve a greater sense of well-being and purpose. This commitment to fostering growth and healing remains at the core of my professional identity.

What is your therapy style?

I use a compassionate, personalized and multifaceted approach to help clients navigate trauma, pain, and anxiety. My goal is to foster an environment where you feel secure enough to explore your challenges and recognize the deep well of resilience and good that already exists within you, so you can leave therapy with renewed strength and a healthier perspective.

What is your favorite quote?

“I am forced down to rise above” -Unknown

When confronted by external circumstances, be it unforeseen challenges, difficult situations, or the influence of others, one may feel "forced down" by the weight of these pressures. This experience often manifests as painful emotions—grief, anger, despair, or frustration—which can be overwhelming and disorienting. However, it is precisely within this crucible of distress and hardship that a powerful transformative process begins. The very act of confronting and moving through these difficult emotions, rather than succumbing to them, becomes the fundamental catalyst for developing profound inner strength. This newfound resilience then empowers the individual to "rise above" the adversity, transcending the limitations and pain that initially sought to define them. It's a testament to the human spirit's capacity for growth and renewal, demonstrating that even in the deepest valleys, the seeds of triumph can be sown.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

In my freetime, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids. Most weekends are dedicated to their sporting events, where I’m either coaching or spectating. I also love a good beach day, eating local tacos, watching the Padres, and just being outside in the Southern California sunshine.
